Three public-domain books in the standard Calibre layout. Unzip it and
drop the CalibReader Sample Library folder anywhere in your Dropbox
(or Google Drive / OneDrive / a network share — the app supports all of them).

3. Connect it
Open CalibReader. On the welcome screen tap Add your books.
Choose your service (e.g. Dropbox).
Sign in with your own account and approve access.
A folder browser appears. Navigate to the library folder from step 2 and tap
Use this folder.
Choose where the books should be stored on the device (any folder — e.g. Downloads).
The books download and the library appears with cover art. Tap any book to read it.
To see the one file CalibReader writes back: read a few pages, then return
to the library. Within about 30 seconds a small CalibReader_positions.json
sidecar appears in the library folder, recording reading progress so it follows the
user to their other devices. Nothing else in the account is ever modified.
What CalibReader does with your account
It reads the single folder you choose — book files, cover images
and Calibre .opf metadata — and copies them to the device so books can be
read offline. It writes exactly one small progress file back into that same folder.
It never touches anything outside the folder you pick, never deletes or modifies your
books, and no book content ever passes through a server we operate: the transfer is
strictly between your device and your own storage.
